The Bungalow Spotlight: Robyn, Our Stylish Trailblazer

Posted by Stephen Simms on

She’s grounded, graceful, and always game for an adventure. Meet Robyn — our stylish trailblazer whose love of nature, travel, and timeless design shows up in everything she touches. Whether she’s layering textiles on a bed or bandanas on her travel backpack, Robyn brings intention, warmth, and authenticity to every detail.

Her aesthetic is rooted in earth tones and inspired by the great outdoors — a reflection of her deep connection to place and her passion for bringing those elements into the home. She’s calm in the chaos, collaborative to the core, and a true force on the Bungalow floor.

A Style Born in the Mountains (and Mom’s Closet)

Robyn’s first memories of fashion are wrapped up in her mom’s cedar closet — a place of sequins, silk, and soft light filtering through the wood.

“I used to sneak in and try on her fancy party dresses and beaded clutches,” she says. “It felt like stepping into another world.”

That curiosity never left her — it just evolved. Today, Robyn describes her personal style as relaxed, earthy, outdoorsy, casual, and timeless. “I’m drawn to things that feel natural and worn-in,” she explains. “My favorite pieces tell stories — from the clothes I travel in to the things I decorate with.”

Style That Travels

This year, Robyn’s been on the move — from beach towns to mountain trails — and her wardrobe has kept pace. “You always have to be ready for an adventure,” she laughs. “An impromptu swim in the river, a bike ride along the ocean, a hike to a waterfall — layers are a must. And I always keep a bandana on my hiking pack. It’s functional and stylish.”

Her travel uniform proves the point: a Retrobrand tee, a Perfect White Tee sweatshirt, and her trusty Clare V. crossbody. “It’s that perfect mix of ease and utility,” she says.

When she’s not traveling, Robyn channels those same natural textures and tones into her styling work at Bungalow. “I love pulling in elements from nature — shells tucked into a cabinet, river rocks as door stops, sticks bleached white from mountain streams, antlers from a hike nestled on a bookshelf, and desert rose rocks topping a book stack. Fresh-picked wildflowers are always the finishing touch.”

Heart of the Floor

Ask anyone on the Bungalow team, and they’ll tell you Robyn has a calming presence — something she carries naturally into her work with clients. “The floor can move fast,” she admits. “But I try to stay grounded. I focus on the person in front of me, on what really matters in that moment. That’s how I connect.”

It’s that empathy that makes Robyn such a trusted guide. “I love meeting our clients and hearing their stories,” she says. “It’s so rewarding to help someone pull together a space that feels like them. Sending a client home with something beautiful that I genuinely love — that’s the best part.”

The Road Inspires the Room

It’s no surprise that Robyn’s design aesthetic mirrors the landscapes she loves most. “The Colorado mountains have my heart,” she says. “I’m inspired by the greens of the pastures and pine trees, the gold of the aspens, the clear blue of the lakes, and the rusty copper of the peaks. Those colors find their way into everything I do.”

Her dream destinations — Alaska, New Zealand, and Iceland — reflect that same love of rugged beauty and endless horizons.

And when the adventure’s over? “I grab a local beer at the nearest mountain-town dive bar or beach-town brewery,” she laughs. “It’s my little ritual — to pause and soak it all in.”

The Little Things

When it comes to the everyday, Robyn’s style is effortless. “My favorite pair of Mother Hustler Roller jeans and a basic tank — that’s my go-to. Add a pair of tennies and I’m ready for whatever the day brings.”

Her signature styling touch? “An old, worn-in bandana and my Grandpa Ragland’s vintage Stetson cowboy hat.”

And her must-have on the sales floor? “Darlin’ magnesium cream — it’s the secret to a good night’s sleep after long, creative days,” she grins.

What Bungalow Means to Me

“To me, Bungalow is family — it’s my home away from home,” Robyn says. “We’re here to support each other and carry each other through the ups and downs of life. And to top it off, it’s a place where we get to be creative doing what we love.”
