Bungalow Spotlight: Meet NaNa, Our Resident Royal

Bungalow Spotlight: Meet NaNa, Our Resident Royal

Posted by Stephen Simms on

She keeps our clients smiling, our energy high, and our hearts full. NaNa — radiant, refined, and adored by every one of us — is the queen of our sale section, the guardian of the fabric wall, and a curator of a jewelry collection that would make any stylist swoon. “Classic, timeless, refined, sophisticated, elegant,” is how she describes her personal style, though her warmth and grace add a sparkle no designer label can match.

Her story begins far from Scottsdale. A true global citizen, NaNa has lived everywhere from Vienna to the American Southwest, working in international embassies and selling fine jewelry in Europe. One of her earliest fashion memories comes from a high-end jewelry store in Vienna, where she sold pieces from Christian Dior and Kenneth Jay Lane. “One day, Kenneth himself walked into the store and started talking to me,” she recalls, still a little awed. “I couldn’t believe it.”

Travel has shaped not only her résumé but her eye for style. Her favorite way to gather inspiration? “By sitting in cafés and watching people,” she says. “Oh, and window shopping! Taking in how different cultures dress and move – it’s all inspiration.” That curiosity shows in the way she works with clients — she listens closely, finding not just what looks good, but what feels right. “Sales are all about relationships and good conversation.”

Known for her head-to-toe designer looks, NaNa can command a room in Ralph Lauren or Chanel, but she’s quick to note her most cherished piece is surprisingly down-to-earth: her sweatpants. “Every queen needs her comfort,” she says with a wink.

When she’s not styling a space or helping a client find their next treasure, NaNa is often hosting friends and family — a skill she’s elevated to an art form. Her secret? “Set a beautiful table. Always.” And just as she layers jewelry to finish an outfit, she layers pillows to finish a room. “They bring polish, comfort, and personality. Just like the jewelry I wear, pillows are the final layer that make a space feel finished and personal. I am all about the details.”

It’s no surprise that NaNa brings this same care to her team at Bungalow. She prays daily for the energy to keep up with the pace — caring for her home, her husband, her clients, and her colleagues — and her joy is evident in the little “happy dance” she can’t help doing after a great sale.

For NaNa, Bungalow is more than a workplace. “Bungalow is where my passion comes to life,” she says. “Styling spaces, creating beauty, and helping others feel at home is what I love most. I’m so grateful to work alongside such talented, kindhearted colleagues who inspire me every day.”

From Vienna’s glittering storefronts to our sunny Scottsdale showroom, NaNa brings with her the elegance of a life well-lived — and the joy of someone who still delights in the simple things, like a perfect pillow, a good espresso, and the smile of a happy client.
