The host organization and producer of the Waste Management Phoenix Open is the Phoenix Thunderbirds Non-Profit Philanthropic Group dedicated to assisting children and families, and improving the quality of life in the valley of the sun. Patrons will see members of the Thunderbirds, dressed in Navajo-style shirts with silver and turquoise belts and pendants, circulating throughout the event. After 15 years of partnership, Waste Management became the title sponsor in 2010 and through collaboration with the Thunderbirds, the Phoenix Open is now known as both the "greatest show on grass" and "greenest show on grass".
